Magnolia Market

On our way home from Austin, our spring break destination we stopped at Magnolia Market at the Silos which is located in Waco, Texas. This is a must-visit destination for families looking for a unique and enjoyable experience. This charming market and home goods store, founded by Chip and Joanna Gaines of HGTV's Fixer Upper fame, has quickly become one of the top tourist attractions in the state.

Upon arrival, we were immediately struck by the stunning beauty of the market's grounds. The property is filled with lush greenery, beautiful flowers, and eye-catching metal sculptures. The main building, a restored grain silo, serves as the center of the market and is surrounded by a variety of outdoor seating areas, perfect for picnicking or enjoying a bite to eat or cup of coffee.

Inside the market, we found a wide selection of home goods and decor, from furniture and rugs to kitchenware and linens. The cool thing about the market each item is hand-selected by Chip and Joanna, ensuring that every piece is both stylish and functional. The market also features a number of local vendors, offering unique handmade goods and one-of-a-kind finds.

For families with children, Magnolia Market offers a number of activities to keep little ones entertained. My kiddos enjoyed the outdoor play area which is a popular spot for kids to play and run around. The Silos Baking Co., is a on-site bakery and cafe another one of my kids favourite spots. The Bakery is filled with freshly baked pastries, cupcakes and all kind of goodies. The bakery also offers a variety of coffee drinks, perfect for a midday pick-me-up.

Another family-friendly feature of Magnolia Market is the Magnolia Seed + Supply garden section, where families can learn about gardening and purchase plants and seeds to take home. Children can help plant and care for their very own garden, learning valuable lessons about the environment and nature.
